🗺️ On a computer, most of what you do on the map has a key. Press it while the map has focus, with no text field selected and no Ctrl, Cmd or Alt held.
The map
C: switch between the 2D and 3D view.
D: center the view.
R and L: rotate right and left.
+ and -: zoom in and out.
Up and Down arrows: go one floor up or down.
X: show or hide the area outlines that come with the 3D model.
Esc: step back out of whatever is open, one level at a time: an attachment, a placement banner, a detail card, a selection, a measurement, the select tool, then the floor.
The tools
H: the hand tool, for panning.
V: the select tool, for dragging a box around items. Space switches between the two.
M: move markers. Drag any marker to a new spot while it is active.
The pages
S: open the search.
I: open your Inbox.
P: open the Dashboard.
F: open the Files page.
While selecting items
Shift and click adds an item to the selection or removes it.
With the select tool, drag with Shift to toggle, Ctrl or Cmd and Shift to add, Alt and Shift to remove.
Ctrl+Z undoes the last change to the selection. Ctrl+Y, or Cmd+Shift+Z on a Mac, redoes it.
Good to know
The shortcuts work in the web app on a computer. On a phone the same actions sit under Layers and in the menus; see Navigating the mobile app.
The tooltip on a toolbar button shows its key.
