Vyer accepted into accelerator programme for sustainable buildings in New York

The Skyline programme was launched to accelerate the green transition in New York through international collaboration. The initiative gives Swedish companies with solutions that contribute to resource- and energy-efficient buildings a chance to enter the US market.

Through the programme, participating companies gain knowledge and support, as well as opportunities to network with key players across the Swedish and American real estate sectors.

Proptech company Vyer is one of eight Swedish companies now accepted into the second edition of the programme, running from June to November 2024.

SACCNY and the Swedish Energy Agency have put together a packed agenda of workshops and chances to meet several international real estate companies in New York, learn more about their challenges, and show how our solutions help Swedish property owners," says Nils Berglund, CEO of Vyer.

Buildings in New York City currently account for over 70 percent of the city's CO2 emissions. Under the Biden administration, the US set several targets for reaching net-zero emissions by 2050.

The Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), along with local climate laws, has opened the door to building greener, more energy-efficient infrastructure, and has driven increased interest in expertise and innovation across the real estate sector.
