The Vyer history
Nils Berglund developed the first building block for today's company during a course in game programming. Shortly afterwards he teamed up with Conrad Wahlén and founded Vyer Technologies AB in 2016. During the first years, they worked with a few clients to acquire a basic understanding of the needs of real estate companies and develop technology with the ability to solve their challenges. In 2023, Vyer consists of 14 employees, with several large Swedish real estate companies as customers.

2016
Digital twins with the potential to revolutionize the real estate industry
The founders realize that facility maintenance is in great need of modernisation. They quickly understand that the software they have created to mass convert blueprints into BIM (Building Information Models) has the potential to change the way an entire industry manages real estate. Vyer Technologies AB is founded with an ambition to make building information as accessible and searchable as our outdoor environment.
2017-2018
The innovation agency Vinnova supports Vyer with 1,000,000 SEK
With support from Vinnova, Vyer conducts a successful project where they demonstrate how BIM creates value in the management of properties. They further develop Vyer's digital platform, which enables property owners to digitize information flows in properties and streamline their management work. The company's successful tests arouse the interest of new customers.
2019
Vyer gets funding from Smart Built - maps premises for AI researchers
Vyer receives funding from Smart Built. Together with Öreboporten Fastigheter they show how modern technology enables quick mass production of BIM models for maintenance. The results are shared with stakeholders in the real estate industry, as well as AI researchers from Örebro University. Read more about the project here.
2020
Vyer closes it's first capital round - raises 4.4 MSEK
In the wake of the corona crisis, a Swedish proptech boom takes place. More property owners see the benefits of, and need for, smart solutions. Vyer seize the opportunity and at the end of April, they close a capital round of 4.4 million SEK. The money enables an acceleration of product development, hiring and user growth. In autumn 2020, the company consists of six employees.
2021
Vyer brings in new customers and recruits property profile to the board
Property owners are digitizing to a greater degree in order to achieve goals around climate adaptation, cost savings and efficiency. For Vyer, this means new customers, as well as several existing ones choosing to scale up their investment in digital twins to the entire portfolio. The company recruits Staffan Unge, former partner at Slättö, to the board.
2022-2023
Vyer secures 15 MSEK investment – supported by real estate experts
In the spring of 2022, Vyer initiates another investment round to expand the team and meet the industry's increasing demand. The founders' quest for profitable expansion attracts support from Sven-Olof Johansson, CEO of Fastpartner, and Lennart Sten, CEO of Svenska Handelsfastigheter, who choose to invest in the company (Read more). At the end of the summer, the team moves into new premises at the AGV Proptech Hub. After an intensive recruitment phase, over the course of a year, the team grows from six to fourteen employees (2023).
